I was born in the desert, raised in a lion's den...or was that suburban Southern California? Anyway, it worked out ok and then one fine day in 1963 I was presented with a $10 Mexican guitar and the rest is history. Also on this day the Beatles took the stage on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time and the rest was history; but that's another story. I took guitar lessons and learned to tie my shoes. The $10 guitar soon turned into a $100 Gibson and I've been a Gibson man ever since. I also love to travel in Mexico. For the last 41 years playing has been a passion with me and my chosen career as a motion picture animator has afforded me lots of spare time to pursue this. In the 60's and 70's it was acoustic folk and blues by the campfire in rural locations with lots of all natural food and drink and clothing. In the 80's there was the happy animators group known as Salty Rose; we played in Denver. The 90's to the present was a Rock-n-Roll fest with several bands. (and a Jazz/Swing band thrown in for good measure). I settled on the BANDITS because the band members are a diverse bunch, great friends and everyone has a drivers license! Also the pay is great. It doesn't matter what decade it is, Rock-n-Roll is here to stay! |
