Meet The Bandits

Guitar/Vocals

At the beginning of the Universe, when matter and energy came together and compressed to a size smaller than the point of a needle, the Universe was formed in an explosive cataclysm greater than the power of a trillion quasars... Some time after that, I was born.
My childhood in Cheyenne, Wyoming was a very enjoyable experience. We would often leave our homes at 7:00 in the morning, riding our bikes and exploring and having fun, and not returning until dusk. We would often commune with the great and powerful Wind God (also known as BLOWSMEDOWN) that lived in the prairies surrounding Cheyenne, and as small children, would fly like Superman (only without the control).
My first interest in music came from my dad. He owned hundreds of records, including 78's (if curious about 78's, check your local museum). They ranged from a wide spectrum of classical music to Broadway musicals; from John Phillip Sousa to Gilbert and Sullivan; from smooth Jazz to 40's Swing! All great stuff to wean on.
I got my first guitar when I was 13, a Harmony with a crack (no, I didn't break my mamma's back) right at about the same time that the Beatles exploded on the world, and that was all she wrote... I was hooked; and I've been playing guitar off and on since. My first band was called "High Sierra", a garage band of seemingly endless non-talent, but I persisted, always playing music and forming different combos, enjoying a love of music with others and never allowing music to fade from my life.
I've been with the Bandits for about 10 years now, and it is a thrill to be in a group of such friendly, intelligent, and talented musicians. I hope to keep on keepin' on with this group for as long as we can, even as some of us (no names please) enter a geriatric stage in our lives (Hey, if the Stones can do it, so can we).
Keep on Rockin' in the Free World - sorry Neil.
